Successful implant Therapy is a coordinated team approach. It starts with the restorative dentist, moves to the surgeon, and back to the restorative dentist. with significant contribution from the dental laboratory and the manufacturers. It is imperative that the restorative dentist and the dental laboratory be on the same page in order to ensure proper form, function and esthetics of the implant restoration. The goal of this presentation is to articulate the numerous problems and challenges the dental practitioners face that the dental laboratory may not be aware of. Patients present a challenge to the dental profession way beyond the scope of the dental techniques themselves. The discussion will include:
*Cement vs. Screw *Retention
*Provisionalization
*Esthetics in the mandible
*Internal vs. External Hex
*Verification Procedures
