Message from the
President
|
Dear Members,
So many of you have expressed that January has been “a little off” as far as business is
concerned and, also that you are having trouble finding the proper help.
The biggest concern from so many laboratory owners is how, what & where do we go? Should
we lower prices? Cut back on
deliveries? Use less expensive metals and porcelains? From my own experience of thirty years, I
believe that maintaining your prices and giving your accounts the service that you have always
given is our best bet. If you see that you have room for
improvement, by all means, do it. But only you know your accounts and how best to serve them.
I urge each of you to keep the evening of April 23rd open. LIDLA will be
having an open forum for all laboratory owners and technicians at Henry Schein Headquarters
in Melville at 7:30 p.m. This evening will give all of us a chance to express our concerns
and ideas regarding dental technology and how we can come together to make things better
for the future. We want to believe in what we are doing and where we are going for the next
decade with this very fragile economy that we are living in.
Also, please mark your calendars for upcoming events.

presentation on Implants that will be presented by a Long Island Dentist. Please check “The
Articulator” for this and other upcoming events.

2003 DUES are Due

Invoices were mailed in January. If you have not sent in your dues,
please do so as soon as possible. You will note from the 2002 statement that we carried over
only a minute balance so prompt
